Venice: The Hotel of Dreams

Hi chums!

There is absolutely no doubt that my amazing trip to Venice had a lot to do with the hotel I stayed at because it was so insane! Normally I'm not overly fussed about hotels because it's just a place to sleep, but we actually loved the hotel so much that we decided to spend more time there than we had first intended.

The hotel we stayed at was called the San Clemente Palace Kempinski and it situated on an island about a 10 minute boat ride from San Marco Square.

We were greeted in our room with champagne in an ice bucket (not that I really drink, but it was a nice touch and my fam loved it!)

The hotel used to be a monastery and is absolutely huge! There is still an old church we you can go in and see which was really beuatiful.

The grounds are huge so we ended up spending a whole morning just walking around the island which the hotel was on.

When we booked this hotel we weren't 100% sure because you have to get a boat everywhere, but it actually ended up being one of the things we liked most about it - who doesn't love a fab boat ride?!

On our last night we dined at the hotel in the restaurant shown below. The food was INCREDIBLE. I had pizza (obvs) and there were really no regrets because it was worth every calorie mmmmm!

We were so sad to leave Venice, but also to leave the hotel because it was literally the hotel of dreams and it felt like paradise!

I would really recommend this hotel but would also like to hear your thoughts:

Have you been to Venice? Where did you stay and would you recommend it?

Love

Emma
